MEDEA
‘When she is injured in love, when her bed has been defiled, she’ll have your blood’
Award-winning performance makers Shock Therapy Arts put their signature touch on this timely Greek Classic.
One of the great plays of the western canon, this psychological thriller follows the story of Medea, as the pressures of court politics, family, and discrimination within the patriarchy start to unravel her world. Themes that are, unfortunately, just as relevant today.
This stylised and minimal production combines traditional Greek Theatre with Epic Theatre, Physical Theatre, and multiple role-playing to deliver an intense and gripping experience, accompanied by a thumping contemporary soundtrack.
